 Hace ya seis años que musicalizo milongas. Creo que la forma de poner música puede ser diferente dependiendo de varios factores. Hay que tener en cuenta las costumbres sobre música del sitio, el nivel de baile, la edad media de los milongueros, e incluso si es verano o invierno. Pero además si está equilibrada la cantidad entre hombres y mujeres.
Hay que musicalizar para que se baile y se disfrute, huyendo de sibaritismos y apuestas novedosas, pero pesadas y aburridas. Aunque tengamos tandas preparadas para una milonga deberemos estar atentos al nivel de aceptación y entusiasmo de la sala, modificando sobre la marcha nuestras tandas previstas. Tampoco debemos caer en la rutina poniendo tandas seguidas del mismo ritmo tanto si es melódico como rítmico. Deberiamos combinar las tandas con cierta afinidad entre las piezas, época, ritmo, cantor, tono.
Después de esto estaría el propio estilo del Dj, en mi caso busco emocionar y apasionar. Combino tandas románticas, con otras de más pasión y energia y otras más melódicas entre otras ritmicas.
Dependiendo de los asistentes, no olvido a la Guardia Vieja e incluso el Canyengue. Trato de que siempre estén presentes D'Arienzo, Di Sarli, Troilo, Pugliese, luego en la siguiente linea, Biagi, Tanturi, Calo, D'Angelis, D'Agostino, Canaro, Típica Victor, Rodriguez, Fresedo...Luego Donato, Demare, Malerba, Laurens, Lomuto, De Caro.... También apuesto por orquestas actuales como el Sexteto Milonguero, Solo Tango..
